Covered Bridges

Covered bridges stand as museums within themselves, according to Jim Harrison. With his more recent bridge painting — “House and Bridge in Winter” — Jim completes a series of four covered bridge paintings which pay tribute to these landmarks of our past. “I have been told by some people from covered bridge states that all bridges look alike, and when you have seen one you have seen them all. That certainly is not my experience and each time I discover one it is a totally different emotionally filled adventure,” says Jim. “I am constantly searching for architectural monuments from the past, but I have found nothing compares with the bridges.”
